The Institute is situated in the Research Building of The Chikdren's Hospital at Westmead. This four-storey research facility includes 10 research laboratories completed in 2006 and fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment. The Hospital has a major commitment to being a centre of excellence in clinical and laboratory research and provides ongoing infrastructural support for the research community. The Institute also receives funding from peer-reviewed grant agencies including the NHMRC.
